CAKE CARE GUIDE:
When transporting, it’s important to keep your cake flat and secure. Do not place your cake on the seat of your car, or have someone else hold. It’s best kept in the passenger footwell or boot. Remember not to stack anything on top of the box or squish the sides.
Before slicing it’s important to remove any large or non-edible decorations, these will listed on the box provided.
If you’re not slicing into your cake straight away, it’s advised to keep your cake in the fridge overnight to keep fresh and cool. Don’t leave in direct sunlight or heat, the buttercream will melt!
When you’re ready to tuck in, remove the cake from the fridge to let come to room temperature. This may take take approximately 3-4 hours, depending on the temperature of your room. When the buttercream is soft to the touch, it’s ready to eat!
Cake serving guides are approximate. You can cut portions to whatever size you like, however if you want the most servings I recommend following the guide provided on the box. If you would like more information on this, please contact me.
Once cut, it’s recommended it store your cake in airtight containers or wrap in clingfilm/foil. This will prevent the sponges from drying out too quickly so you have longer to enjoy!
A best before date is written on the box, this is just an estimate on how long your cake can stay soft for. This is providing following the correct steps after cutting.
